Re: Old Folk Portfolio ... Buys and Sells

Today I sold the position in ACV because the fund was selling at a 52 week high with regard to premium to NAV, at a time when NAV is taking a steep drop, and the fund carries 25% leverage. I thought it best to sell and come back to it later if that premium will come down to where it sells at a discount.

In addition to selling ACV, there was a huge amount of special dividends that hit the account today, so I used those in addition to the proceeds from the sale of ACV to invest in the following:

QYLD - 13.08% yield
RYLD - 12.19% yield
XYLD - 9.10% yield
EXD - 6.86% yield
ENB - 6.63% yield
GDV - 4.93% yield
TU - 4.52% yield
CM - 4.06% yield
ORI - 3.46% yield
AEP - 3.45% yield
RY - 3.34% yield
CCI - 3.09% yield
SJM - 2.77% yield
LNT - 2.65% yield

The objective was to create a nice balance between yield + dividend/distribution cash flow growth.

Based on the position size for each position, when combined today's buys generate a 9.28% yield + 6.30% dividend/distribution cash flow growth. Objective achieved.
