commissions on options are a different price structure and are usually lower than full service prices... but roughly the same or higher than discount brokers.

In my case Waterhouse charges $12.00 for stock on the internet and about $28.00 for options. If you "phone in" and order its about $32.00 for stock and the same for options... Waterhouse gives about a 70% discount on stock and 50% discount on option commissions for phone in orders. I don't know what other brokers charge.
