I missed that but it figures. Doing that was sending a signal to the Trumpsters that he was one of them, but he isn't really.

Wharfie, He prolly shouldn't have announced that he was voting for Trumper Larry Elder in our recall election. Why not? It's the truth. Newsom has been an abject failure. High crime rates, high costs of living, and the general migration out of the state is happening in large part due to his policies. Larry Elder is no Trump. So what if he likes Trump? So does 46% of Americans. So does 34% of Californians. That doesn't matter to me. What matters is that Newsom gets voted out. Of course it didn't happen, and it's not likely to happen, but these left-wing Democrats can't continue to destroy what's left of our great state and our great nation without having to answer to us voters. Of course, YOU think Newsom is doing one heck of a job, even while we're still suffering under a crime wave, even while we still remain vulnerable to water shortages, even while the homeless and the criminals and the drug addicts take over our parks and our streets.
