I don't know what "schlepping" means in this context, but Georgia, it is illegal. I live in a community of the elderly. The mail room is in my building but about a block away from my apartment. So my neighbors and I complete our ballots and one of us saves the others the walker-assisted hike by carrying them all to the mail box, that would be ballot harvesting by the definition of the Georgia accusers. Perhaps technically illegal but actually quite harmless. And peripheral.
