Another, more likely correct, explanation (as posited by Malone) is that vaccines work on original and Delta because they were designed to deal specifically for them. Omicron evolved to avoid vaccines so the jabs were the equivalent of last year’s flu shots.

Finding that the greater rate of Omicron infection on vaxxed might be difficult to establish statistically. I would want to see more confirmation of the study.

Theory: The vaccine is preventing natural immunity. IE: you get vaxed, you get exposed, you don't get sick, you don't build natural immunity, the vax stop working, you get exposed again, you get sick, and finally get you get naturally immunity.
