Ignacio, I am relieved to know that you don't want to disrupt this thread again, because it truly caused heartache and sorrow. I have always wondered why you, who are so obviously intelligent, became for a time so seemingly arrogant and insulting. I do not see that part of you here now, and also wonder where it went!!! I hope that the whole sorry episode in the history of the Feelings thread was just a bad joke that got out polarized and out of hand on all sides, and that we can all stay calm, polite, and respectful of each other's opinions. If that is the case, you are certainly most welcome here. I would agree that there was a trend clearly in place for the Jews before the Nazis came along and exploited it. Do you know a lot about Jewish history? Perhaps if you do, you could shed some light on the issue here. One thing I read was that the reputation of the Jews as money lenders caused a lot of resentment of them by others in Europe, for many hundreds of years. On the other hand, I wonder if they became skilled as money lenders because they had been persecuted for so long that they hoarded so much money as security against their persecution, and encountered difficulty being accepted in other professions. Sort of like the chicken and egg argument!!!
