"Cruz lost a lot of votes last week"
I certainly hope so.

Everyone who votes for the guy realized instantly that he had no grasp on what happened on Jan 6. We now know that the entire thing was a setup by the Skunk Pelosi, it was not an outgrowth of any pro-Trump support group, and that it "The Big Lie" is coming from Democrats, not Republicans.

(Honestly, those of us with gumption have known this for a very long time that it was an event created by and for Democrats). I think Cruz's blunder is a product of living in the DC bubble.

Whether he can recover remains to be seen.

The cult is very fickle these days. Turning on each other at the drop of a dime. One minute they can't praise Cruz enough, calling him "very bright" and defending his actions when he abandoned ship during the Texas extreme weather event, but when he tells the truth about what the cult did on 1/06 they call him an idiot. The cult Civil War continues to escalate.
