As is everyone.
The UK is ahead of you.

What planet are you living on? I can see where the risks are. See graph below.
Yeah, and I believe in Safety first.

I said it's fine that hospitals test and count the the cases if they feel fit. They should consider the known risk factors to date. Kids are typically OK, either in hospital or not.

<<I have taken stat classes>>

That is kool, and handy -g-

Back in the day when I was a real engineer, as opposed to last couple of decades when I was just another call center employee answering the phone for an insurance company (etc), I used to be thrown real challenges.

You might want to dust off those stats books and resharpen the pencils at this point.

So I just watched Dr John Campbells latest broadcast, he has a focus on USA data too. I will let the broadcast speak for itself. I did capture a few screen shots with my comments.

Overall I would say it is a good analysis, there are issues, but the picture is mildly encouraging with challenges. The lack of affordable health care for many Americans may explain what we are seeing. I dont mean that as a political comment in any way, but as a fact of life as the standard of living has declined over the decades.

Dr Campbell does make some telling points on the pandemic wrt American Politics from both the parties pov.

So what do we do first? Well I am going to listen to the broadcast a second time, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. However I am going to post some screen shots first and they are pertinent to what has been discussed here on this Si investor board.

In each case note both the X and Y axis is included, study those carefully in each case, as most if not all the matters brought up by you and Arun are touched upon.

Far as I can tell (imho) were are going from a not so good place to a better place with the Covid situation. There are challenges in the USA. India looks to be confused, but a huge segment of the population in the UK are from places like India, with relatives in the home country, so we should be getting the real story out of there, one way or the other.
