just got conversational report from friend living on top of Berkeley hill of east bay, that his Tesla was broken into in broad daylight whilst he was having early dinner in nice restaurant. The Tesla was parked on the street. The story is actually that, when he got the car to Tesla service, there were two other Tesla cars with the same issue, broken rear quarter window, that somehow allows folks to reach in and look into the baggage compartment / boot by flipping some seat. I asked him whether law & order is breaking down. He said law & order has broken down. So far the issue is not an 2022 election issue. No one seems to care. Even if the perps are caught, no prosecution should be expected. Incredible.
