"I thought you were talking about the risk of excessive debt issuance, as in the issuer may go bust."

The "Issuer" is a combination of the US Treasury and the FED, etc, i.e. the American "Government" ..... how can they "go bust" ??
Like I said before, when budget time comes and they need to SPEND more once again, they just raise the "Loan Facility", i.e. the "Debt Ceiling" and "Borrow" more "fabricated" money.

" ..... and places can't find enough workers at that price."

Of course they CAN'T !!! ....... The current Administration has been paying folk to STAY AT HOME due to the "pandemic(?)". Why work when you are being paid to stay home and watch NETFLIX ...... So that contributes to a Labour supply shortage. When Demand goes UP and Supply goes DOWN, then a related price goes UP.
That, I understand, has contributed to the severe shortage of Truck and Haulage Drivers, which in turn effects the offloading of containers from those scores of container ships sitting offshore.

"As for the rest of economics, it's just a theoretical guess which works 40% of the time, right?"

Nope, can't say that I agree. If you want to hear what SOUND ECONOMICS are all about I suggest you listen to what individuals such as the late Prof. Milton Friedman and currently Thomas Sowell have had to say on the subject.
