My take is that the Chinese succeeded in containing the original CoViD. Wuhan scared them so badly that really did what they could. Their pro-active high tech contact tracing apparently worked. They monitored the cell phones of hundreds of millions of people - and if someone was diagnosed with CoViD, a supercomputer traced for a few days back and notified all potential contacts about their possible exposure.

Somehow, they did it. I don’t think they will succeed the same way with omicron. It will spread. But, it’s mild. So, there will be some disruptions, but in the end they’ll come out of it OK.

Interestingly, not only China - many Asian countries dealt with this epidemic very effectively.

What are your views on China's covid situation....Since they never let the virus "do its thing" so to speak...
China is desperate for a perception of safety for the Olympics.
