The standings of the stock picking contest after SIX weeks follows: 18 stocks are UP, 25 stocks are DOWN. The average change is still negative,but has been reduced to the -5 % range. For those of you tracking the trend, the "regression to the mean" continues to surface. The winners aren't as "winning" and the losers aren't as "losing". As before, the winners are up enough to extrapolate a solid up overall by year end, in spite of the fact that the losers outnumber the winners by 11 to 8. There are 60 entrants, 47 from SI members and 13 lurkers.
