*OT* Allen, tried to get back sooner re "gombahtay" but my phones were out day and night yesterday. This stand-alone exclamation works for, "go for it / let's do it / good luck / never give up / hang in there / come on" and countless etcs. Your question caused me to pause and wonder if long-ago drinking companions were just playing "trick the gai-gin," figuring I'd make a public fool of myself sooner or later. Not so. My main man in Edo has confirmed translation (we take these as literal at our peril) this morning and reports that the word can be found in some dictionaries as "gombaiite" or "combaiite." Apologies for interrupting the SR Investment Forum :-)
