Shane and others:
Would it make sense for INTC to buy LSI ? I suspect that many of today's chip companies will be acquired or forced out of business over the next ten years. Will LSI be one of those acquired ? If yes, will it happen in the next year or two ? I don't think LSI is large enough to be competitive with the giant chip companies out into the next century. Your comments please.

Shane. >> We
sell more microcontrollers at below $20 than microprocessors every year, for example. As part of
the DEC settlement, we have obtained the rights to StrongARM, and we are now digesting what,
if anything, we should do with it, and how it might fit in our product portfolio. There isn't much
else I can disclose about it at this time, however.<<

Does this mean you work for Intel? I mean, who else has settled with DEC recently and sells microprocessors and microcontrollers? But, Northeast location? Sales or customer services?

Come on, Shane, out yourself!
