Oh, thank goodness. I was worried this would be one of those boy scout memories you could no longer keep silent about lol.

Yea, back in those days, being a cub scout was sort of what every kid did. My "fondest" memory was all the time I spent honing my Pinewood Derby car, then my father took me to the event about ten minutes before it ended and I never got to race it. But I suppose my mother sort of made up for it by signing every page in my wolf and bear scout books... which I did genuinely assured her I could have done if I had had the time. I never made it to the boy scouts.
