Dems Trying New Scheme To Stop Trump From Running...

The Democrats have one goal — stop Trump 2024.

They know if he runs he will win and their crimes will be exposed. They are now plotting to have Attorney General Merrick Garland prosecute Trump so he can’t run in 2024.

From Summit News:

Senate Democrats are plotting to have Attorney General Merrick Garland prosecute Donald Trump over January 6 in a bid to block him from running for president in 2024.

Several Democrat lawmakers believe there is a “good chance” the Department of Justice will act to prosecute Trump, knocking him out of the race before his campaign can even begin.

The move is being plotted despite there being no evidence that Trump (unlike certain federal agents) orchestrated or encouraged the January 6 raid on the Capitol.

“They have all of the evidence at their disposal,” claimed Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), asserting that “federal statutes that are very much implicated” by Trump’s apparent attempt to stop the certification of the election.

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) claimed there was “a lot of evidence that he was complicit” in fueling the January 6 riot (without citing any).

“I think anybody who it’s proven had a role in the planning of [the Jan. 6 attack] should be prosecuted, not just the people who broke in and smashed the window in my office and others,” said Brown.

Steve Bannon’s take:

Brilliant analysis of how the Illegitimate Biden Regime plots to use DOJ lawfare to stop Trump from running the tables in 2024

The report also reveals that this could backfire.

If they aren’t able to get Trump they will hand him another major win.

From The Hill:

But Senate Democrats also warn that Garland needs to proceed cautiously. Any prosecution that fails to convict Trump risks becoming a disaster and could vindicate Trump, just as the inconclusive report by former special counsel Robert Mueller’s team was seized upon by Trump and his allies to declare his exoneration on a separate series of allegations.

DeSantis takes bold step with Florida map…

NEWS JUNKIES -- CHECK OUT OUR HOMEPAGE

DeSantis shakes up Florida redistricting

TALLAHASSEE — Ron DeSantis upended Florida’s redistricting process by submitting his own proposed congressional map that carves out more Republican-friendly districts and is already sparking threats of lawsuits.

DeSantis general counsel, Ryan Newman, formally filed the proposed map in a move that surprised leaders in the GOP-led Florida House and Senate. The lawmakers see the highly unusual proposal as the most direct signal yet that DeSantis would veto the congressional map already awaiting a yet-to-be-scheduled floor vote in the Senate.

Florida gained one seat in Congress in 2022 for a total of 28.

The state Senate’s proposal includes 16 seats Donald Trump would have won in 2020 compared to 12 for Joe Biden. DeSantis’ map includes 18 seats Trump would have won that year.

A veto from DeSantis would likely play well with the GOP, as outside Republican groups have already criticized the Senate’s map as not aggressive enough. Florida’s Legislature is Republican-dominated, so many in conservative circles hoped the party would use the redistricting process to give the GOP a larger advantage in the state’s congressional delegation, especially as Democrats face a bleak landscape and big losses in the 2022 midterms.

DeSantis is openly signaling that he is unhappy with the congressional map being proposed by the Senate. The Florida House has been taking a slower approach and has several draft maps still in play, including one that largely aligns with the Senate plan and another that much closely mirrors what DeSantis is proposing.

Newman, the DeSantis administration’s top attorney, issued a statement through the governor’s office shortly after releasing his maps that indicated they had “legal concerns” about in-play congressional maps, which DeSantis has the authority to veto. It’s a message largely being interpreted by legislative leaders as a threat to veto the congressional map if it reaches his desk.

“We have submitted an alternative proposal, which we can support, that adhere to federal and state requirements and addresses our legal concerns, while working to increase district compactness, minimize county splits where feasible, and protect minority voting populations,” Newman wrote in a statement that Florida House and Senate map drawers viewed as a veiled veto threat.

Beyond the partisan boost for Republicans, DeSantis’ map got immediate pushback because it would lower the number of seats carved out to protect Black voters from four to two — functionally eliminating the 5th Congressional District along Florida’s northern border currently represented by Rep. Al Lawson, a Black Democrat, and the 10th Congressional District currently represented by Rep. Val Demings, another Black Democrat who is vacating the seat to run against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).

Democrat election law attorney Marc Elias, who was involved in recount fights that involved DeSantis, is already signaling that he will file a legal challenge if lawmakers pass the governor’s plan.

“I look forward to my team deposing him and his staff to fully understand the illegal partisan motivations of this map,” Elias tweeted shortly after the DeSantis map was released.

The threat of legal challenges looms large over Florida’s redistricting process, which in 2012 became mired in a four-year legal fight after left-leaning voter groups filed a lawsuit under Florida’s Fair District amendments, which are anti-gerrymandering provisions in the state Constitution. As a result, current court-approved state Senate and congressional maps were largely drawn by the groups that challenged the original maps.

“The existing maps were written by an unelected, radical left wing court seven years ago — the governor’s excellent map set corrects this problem by creating compact and suburban/exurban districts,” state Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-Howey-in-the-Hills) said in a text message. “The Senate stupidly proposed a map which was nearly identical to the left wing court map that exists currently.”

DESANTIS AND TRUMP ARE BROS...

It’s not an accident that corporate media and other political opponents are trying to pit GOP's two most popular figures -- President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis -- against each other. But notable how both their teams dismissed the effort.

Biden's handlers do not understand the psychological impact of dispatching his flacks to insist the senile old man didn't say any of the things he clearly said in his dumpster fire press conference. They're on the verge of turning low poll numbers into national panic.

‘Dr. Phil’ Aftermath: LGBT Activists Complain Matt Walsh Gave Them ‘Nightmares.’ Walsh Responds. - WHAT A HAPPY STORY!!!

By Amanda Prestigiacomo

Activists who discussed gender pronouns and the definition of womanhood with The Daily Wire host and author Matt Walsh on an episode of “Dr. Phil” have taken to Instagram for a little spin.

Just before the episode aired, “nonbinary” activist Addison posted a lengthy Instagram story accusing the “Dr. Phil” team of tricking Addison and fellow “nonbinary” activist Ethan to do the show under false pretenses.

The post also claims Walsh’s pushback, which included asking Addison and Ethan to define the word woman, gave them “nightmares” and triggered anxiety.

“About a month ago, Ethan and I were invited to be guests on the ‘Dr. Phil’ show to share our stories and discuss pronouns,” started the Instagram story from Addison, under the username “break the binary.” “We were excited for the opportunity to educate in a safe space. What ended up happening was much different than they discussed with us. And we left feeling attacked by another guest and played by the producers.”

“Since the taping, Ethan and I have been experiencing a heightened level of anxiety to the point that we’ve had numerous nightmares and depression spirals over the last month,” the story continued, adding that “this week has been the worse [sic].”

“Please send us both good vibes today. We could really use it,” Addison closed. “We tried our best with no preparation for what the ‘Dr. Phil’ show actually had planned behind our backs. And we hope our visibility inspires viewers.”

Walsh responded to the accusations via Twitter. “The other guests on the ‘Dr. Phil’ panel are complaining that I gave them nightmares,” the author posted, captioning screenshots of Addison’s story. “I attacked them by asking them to define the words they were using.”

Captioning a screenshot of Addison’s request for “good vibes,” Walsh mocked, “Please send good vibes, folks. This is a tough time.”

“Contrary to my fellow panelists, I felt great after the taping and feel even better now,” Walsh added. “That’s because I’m 100 percent confident in my view on the topic and everything they said was blatant nonsense which did not for even a second cause me to second guess my own perspective.”

As highlighted by The Daily Wire, Walsh stumped the two gender activists, who were unable to define the term woman, though they declared, “transgender women are women.”

In another segment, Walsh quieted the left-wing audience after he was mocked for apparently caring “so much” about the Left’s radical gender agenda.

“Part of me wants to ask why you care so much, because it’s really not that big of a deal,” a guest mocked Walsh.

“I’d love to answer that question,” the author interjected.

“I care about the truth,” Walsh said. “So, basic truth matters. I wanna live in a society where people care about the truth and we’re grounded in truth. … I care about children, and these insane ideas about gender are being [foisted] on kids, and that bothers me quite a bit. I care about the women who are having their opportunities stolen from them.”

“I care quite a bit, yeah,” he added.
