Clinton was a Third Way Democrat, essentially a moderate Democrat that bought into the Reagan Revolution. Remember that Clinton ran on cutting waste in government and downsizing the bureaucracy, stimulating job and economic growth, and reforming the military for the post-Cold War world that would be smaller but more agile. He was hawkish on using US power in foreign policy. Essentially, a Kennedy Democrat.

His flying monkeys tried to veer left, especially with the health care debacle led by Hillary, but the Gingrich-led takeover of the House forced policy back to center-right.

If not for his personal foibles, Clinton would have been a fine President. I voted for him in 92.

Clinton was an absolute scoundrel and worse, but at least he was an American scoundrel, not a globalist swine bent on destroying the country.

After fifty years plus watching this crap I've come to believe that any intrusions as to how money is spent are bound to fail.

I wish government would confine it self to a police function, insuring our ability to pursue happiness as best we can.
