Stonehenge---- CPQ is the ONLY issue I have that I keep no matter where it goes. I add on dips and sell little pieces so I can add more at the floor. If there are no market crashes or any other strange thing I do look for some profit taking. Actually hoping to buy more in the next 3 months or so at 31 - 32. Hoping to grab some profit in the 39 range first but unsure it will get that high before a pull back. In the next 12 months I am hoping to have a new floor in the 45 - 47 area. It may go through there but hopes are that is where it will settle as a base. Earnings may be great but the effects of the recent wonderful DEC purchase on earnings may be hard to understand by some. I just read where it looks like the after cost purchase is around 3.5B which is a bargain. My belief has been this purchase will not effect the traditional business and will now allow them to compete with IBM. It seems others now agree. The amount of shares brought on but the DEC purchase may screw comparisons in some minds also. This issue is a trading, short term and long term issue. No matter what your style of investing CPQ gives interest which may assist it in seeing the 50 range by the end of '98. Then '99 should see an additional 25% or more. Shall we say end '99 at $72? Or end '99 at $38 after another 2 for? I believe the latter... The DEC deal will prove to be bigger than any imagine IMO plus some additional profits from Tandem.... talk of additional purchases and Y2K equipment replacements ..... damn I have talked myself into buying more again.....
