Re: Condition of the market ...

Earnings season will determine where I invest the cash I have been building and the dividends to come over the next couple of weeks.

It's not the last quarter numbers that I will focus on it will be the guidance each company provides going forward, and how the market reacts to that forward looking guidance.

I do know I am adding LLY in the Young Folk Portfolio as soon as enough cash shows up in that account. I have enough cash in the taxable account to make 7 or 8 purchases but those are the ones I'm not sure of yet, I will be within the next couple of weeks.

Elsewhere I am determined to add AMZN at some point so I don't mind that it has been falling in price day after day after day. Their earnings report is due February 3. I may not wait until then. I may have my decision this coming week after MSFT and AAPL report. If the market reacts favorably to their reports, it might help the tech sector turn around. I would buy AMZN at that point.

Everything else is wait and see for me.
