Speaking of correlation, and I amnot statistician, but I believe the numbers can be expressed such as 1 to -1.....1 is that it moves directly in line with the market (other variable)....2 would be that it moves 2x the market...-1 moves oppostive the market...-2 moves 2x opposite the market....

I believe you're describing Beta. Correlation can only be between -1 and 1.

Steve,

If we have a major market crash a lot of brokers can and probably go down with the market.

I'm wondering how "safe" you money is when it is in a brokerage money market account. I believe that your stock would be OK because of the SEC rules and such but I wonder how your cash would fare. Are there rules that protect you or are you own your own in that case..

Thanks in advance,
Carl Fritch
