this analysis of amazon seems ludicrous to me. I would not value anything as a multiple of sales and who thinks retailers should sell for 35 times normalized earnings? if people are willing to pay so much for cloud then have a look at BABA and BIDU which dominate the china cloud market and the runway there is immense. having said that I am grateful that people are willing to pay so much for amazon stock that i can benefit from it as a consumer.

i dont see any reason to pay a huge multiple for amazon when you can buy homebuilders at like 6 times earnings or a qualcomm at 15 times forward earnings. I think of all the fang names the most interesting might be facebook. they are just really good at stealing data and then marketing it. I was surprised to find out that even before i had a facebook account they were getting data from my brokerage accounts. there is like zero privacy . for that reason I am not sure that closing my facebook account would do any good.
