I agree, it was a good interview. I was put off by the clickbait title since that did a great disservice to the interview, but that aside we need more reasonable, honest discussions like this in the public discourse. We're in uncharted territory here. It's a virus that is optimized for human host cells, whether made by nature or a lab, and it's been a step ahead of us at every turn. Mistakes were made but we can learn from those. This didn't have to be (and doesn't have to be) politicized which I think drove many of the mistakes.
