Bill used to run this as his curated blog and didn't want people posting their own stories, for the most part. We opened that up after Bill passed, since I certainly don't have the time to keep up with Bill's prior pace. Bill didn't like a lot of back-and-forth here. "Beating topics to death," he would say. He didn't like scrolling through pages of it to get to some meat. He'd let us post videos, Tweets, and headlines because there's not much scrolling involved. He also didn't want new visitors scrolling through lots of chit-chat to arrive at what the thread was really about: his "eagle" view of current events. Without a chief eagle the thread will change, but we can respect Bill's wish that it remain informative. (Thanks, SmoothSail.)
