Wharfie,
you complain cuz we got out
Absolutely wrong. I was 100% in support of getting out, and I was one of the few that supported Trump's original plan.

Had Brandon got out on Trump's original timeline, I wouldn't have blamed him for the mess that would have followed, even if the Taliban took over Kabul the very day after we left. This is because we would have gotten out on our own terms. We would also have sent a message that, if the Taliban returned AND once again harbored terrorists, we would be back, once again on our own terms.

Instead, Brandon extended the timeline, but provided few specifics as to why. Obviously he didn't consult with the Taliban before doing so, so the Taliban decided to take matters into their own hands.

Surprise! Kabul became just like Saigon, despite what Brandon assured us as late as July of 2021. Now we had to get the F out of A*ghanistan on THEIR terms.

In short, Brandon turned a successful exit strategy into a complete embarrassment. I didn't think that was possible, but Brandon proved it was.

And all you have to defend that boneheaded mistake is a false dichotomy.
