Steve,

While interesting, the article is making many assumptions that are most likely untrue.

Intel gives options on stock that is not currently out there to employees. Obviously the higher up the food chain you are, the more you get. These options have an expiration date. You either by or sell them before that date or you lose them. Most large companies are like this.

The number of shares involved reflect to me this type of thing. This is particularly true of the retiring person. When you leave a company, you usually only have a set amount of time to exercise options or lose them.

This article is written in a way as to 'scare' the small investor into selling. The big boys will be buying anything you sell. If you look at historical charts, Intel does well the first half of February - lots of buying. Sometimes it holds the gains sometimes not.

This 'inside' selling is nothing. Most likely just selling what has to be sold. They may even be exercising some as a buy as well.

Regards,
dmg

Good Evening Steve,

Thanks for the news item on inside selling.
If they want to sell shares of their stock that is their right. I am a long term investor and feel that Intel has a long way to go with growth to show.

Have a nice evening
Frank
