Steve - Re: Inrel Insider Sales

Intel executives receive large stock options, in lieu of outlandish executive salaries and perks, as part of their compensation packages.

Selling part of their vested stock options is the way they realize the benefits of these options. The options are given, as you probably know, to incentivise Intel and their executives and employees, to perform well in order for the company, and its stock, to appreciate.

Please note that these holdings are small for Barrett's overall Intel share ownership.

Also - media "journalists" like to sling the innuendos that Intel's executives are selling at the top.

Well, Intel executives have been selling their stock for the past 25 years. I suggest you look at a 25 year chart of Intel's stock price and pick out the points where they "sold at the top".

Another point that the "journalists: didn't bother to make - why weren't these same executive UNLOADING their shares when the stock was plummeting from $102 to $67? Simple answer - they knew the company was going to surmount the short term effects of the the "market panic" and return to a more healthy situation.

That should clear up any questions you may have.

Paul

Steve: INTC insider selling = PEANUTS,NO BIGGIE,ANOTHER CHEAP SHOT BY
SOME IDIOT Newsletter writer.

Thanks for the informative link, but if you look at it carefully it says:-

Total # execs registered with SEC = 8
Total#of shares registered for sale = Less than 600K (ain't much)

So we got total of 8 execs holding thousands of shares together selling less than 600k shares, probably .01% of their total holdings and future stock options. They have to live a little you know otherwise what's the point, right??? Or may be they are trying to keep up with that Jerry guy from AMD <<gg>>
