Thanks for the response Walt. I guess I was just in the mood to get a rally going on this thread.

I remember reading a while back a bit of history on how mining started in Ontario. Of particular interest was a tiny island in Lake Superior not far from shore. Don't remember much of the details but it was a very high grade silver mine that killed a number of people. They made monumental efforts to keep the mighty Lake Superior out given the violent wave surges that can erupt toppling the huge dikes built around the Island. They were ultimately unsuccessful.

One point I should have highlighted yesterday which everyone knows but should be reminded of. Diamonds are Ashtons business. Lots of jockeying by many juniors in Alberta to get a piece of the action and lots of investors trying to determine who has the best property interests at the lowest market cap. Sometimes we forget that the jockey is just as important as the horse. Lots of analysts, lots of promoters and lots of paper means that many have lots of sizzle but not not much steak. Ashton has the steak and we are waiting for the main course.

John.

Actually Walt now that think of it, I was asking the question in jest as a NWT type asking an Alberta type " How can you have a mine if there is no Lake to drain?"

John :-)
