I think Gilder is not an outsider. He is one of the directors.

G.G. is on Wave's board of directors, I think.
But as I said, his role is unclear to me.
Wired is a magazine full of ads, techno tidbits
..... very puerile in style..
G.G. has an interest in it too.
G.G. has a "newsletter" called THE GILDER TECHNOLOGY REPORT.
Although a fun read, it's way overpriced IMO.
