They are likely to lose that edge next January anyway, so it might be worth it to get rid of her. I read that she can even legally cast the 51st vote on her nomination. They will replace the master Cackler if she is so nominated for scotus. I don't know the confirmation process but it happened with Agnew under Nixon.
