I was also enraged by the "coverage" of the Olympic opening. Enraged. I was YELLING at my tv set. I had to leave. I have not been that disgusted by America in years. MJ says, "Any wonder if Ugly Americans still exist?"

The ugliness and ignorance was moment by moment, and then we were DENIED really seeing much of anything these assholes didn't understand, which was everything. The opening ceremony was something very sacred and significant that I was stunned they were actually sharing with the world. And then to have them cut out of the Ode to Joy, Beethoven teleported around the world for Christ's sake, to an interview with some American bitch (who is probably a very nice person) ~ taht was the final straw for me. I wanted out of earshot. I think incensed and humiliated might be starters.
I probly shouldn't submit this, I'm so mad my fingers are shaking, and I guess it appears stupid someone could get so mad over this. But damnit, these games are the finest world pageants and community that come our way, the inspirational finest, totally befitting the Ode to Joy if there ever was a fitting outside the next realm, and they absolutly ruined it and denied it to us. Thanks, boys.

You disgusting pigs.

Somebody nuke us
.
We deserve it.
(You can move out some of these nice people's families first, but that's it.)
Start over. Hoooboy. Sorry. just got mad, I guess.
Yah. I'm still mad. I'm going to go...sulk. And make my bed.

S -- <<They're <the Olympics> about schmaltz and jingoism and selling athletic shoes.>>

I rejoice in the fact taht you finally understand, in spite of your quirky predilection for things European. Culture is culture, but PROGRAMMING IS $$$$$!
