Hello Thread,

Any of you writing covered calls on your ASND holdings? If so, any words of wisdom for someone who's thinking of doing so? I've never written an option contract before.

It seems that the key to writing covered calls is (1) a short-term volatile stock, so you can sell your calls and buy them back for less soon after, (2) a good feel for the underlying stock's movement, so you know support/resistance levels and the market's usual reaction to company news, and (3) a fundamentally strong company that's not going to be extremely volatile in the mid-term (like ASND, which for the last few months has been moving upward and seems to be continuing to do so).

I'd appreciate any insights.
