Psychoanalysts of old used to say that an unanalyzed life is not worth living. I’m still sure it’s an overstatement — but as I get older, I understand better what they meant.

I recall that Psychiatrists have or used to have a very high incidence of suicide. Understanding our motivations or evaluating the transgressions of immaturity are opportunities for improvement. I think there was a book called the Purpose driven life. I did not read it.

I have found that when discussing politics with libs / leftists it is best to stay out of the weeds and ask questions about what we deem important in life. I find that a lot of libs like to go with "Bush did this" or Reagan declared ketchup to be a vegetable". If you start out with what they value in life, it offers a framework for discussion. I have read that libs think a lot differently than conservatives in that we tend to be more analytical and they are more emotional. IN the olden days, libs would tell me that Dims care about "People" and reps were the party of the wealthy. That never was true but today is easily disproven.

Dims have positioned themselves as the cool hip in-crowd of HS. Unfortunately for the unwashed, it is more like the movie "A Christmas Story" were the kid sends away for his Little Orphan Annie decoder ring and al they get is a commercial.

Now is a pivotal point in history because the dims have revealed themselves as the party of control. They are turning off people in droves because global warming, crt, lockdowns does not put food on the table or educate your children. For anyone willing to look they have exposed themselves. Beware the rinos. Beware the rinos. The $$ will flow to them and some will seek to change their stripes.

Just think of Zuck, Soros and Dorsey, as extreme examples.
I think the current Silicon Valley billionaires have a unique pathology. They became billionaires in their early 20's, often with just an idea and no real value proposition. The previous generation of tech: Jobs or Gates took much longer to get really rich and they were rewarded for delivering products people were willing to pay for.
