Spoken like a true Neo-Soviet toady.

"Yes, that means letting Russia have Ukraine, or parts of it. I didn't give a s--t about Crimea, and I don't give a s--t about the rest of Ukraine. AFAIK, they're all ethnic Russians anyway, so whether they want to call themselves Russian or Ukrainian is their business, not ours."

Tenchu quote.
--------------------------

I don't know anyone that lives in Ukraine, but I do know they've been trying to follow the democratic route since the Orange Revolution. I wish them well. They're not ethnic Russians, they have their own language, closely related to Russian though..
I also remember working with a couple of Kazakhs over a decade back. They spoke Russian just like many Ukrainians so I guess you could claim they were Russians, just like you deemed the Ukrainians to be Russians, despite that they looked like Mongolians.
