But it's crazy that the FDA and legions of medical "experts" have made themselves the butt of jokes.

It would be better to deregulate the medical cartel and leave it up to individuals to decide and choose the medical advice they prefer, which might be the FDA or Fauci. Normal prosecution of fraud, breach of contract, negligence etc would keep business honest.

I lost confidence in the medical cartel decades ago. In my early 20s I realised I'd better learn fast and study a lot to live long. They don't have time to mess about. And they are careless. In that business, I would have the same problems as them. Not enough time. Superficial knowledge about nearly everything.

In my area of expertise, I used to say a good engineer could learn enough in a day to be better than me in a narrow field of fuels, lubricants, bitumen, solvents etc.. Same with medicine. In a week or three I can become a world expert and even the best in a super narrow field.
