Present exchange rate is around 1.44 so $1cdn = $1.44 US or $1US = $.69Cdn

$27cdn = 18.63 US
$34Cdn = 23.61 US

Hey what ever happen to the $25 - $30 cdn one analyst mentioned.

$25cdn = $17.25 US

Who do you think controls Newbridge - Wall Street or Bay Street?

Mike

Please forgive me if the following is a little too obvious, but I've seen the same question, ("What's that in CDN/US $'s ?"), several times on this and other threads.

Good question, actually, and since we are obviously investors on both sides of the 49th parallel, (NN - U.S.; NNC - Canada), I endorse the suggestion that we indicate to which currency we are referring when stating dollar amounts.

One easy way to get a rate exchange answer is bookmark a rate exchanger site such as:
xe.net

These sites typically have the exchange rate up-to-date and will give you an exact value;

- or -

you can try the following:

Get current exchange rate from WWW or most newspaper financial sections.

Exchange rate quote currently is about 69 cents U.S. ($0.69).
Therefore, one U.S. $ = 1/0.69 = 1.45 CDN.

Thus:

CDN to U.S.
-----------
= 0.69 x n # of dollars
(e.g. $27 CDN = .69 x 27 = $18.63 U.S.)

U.S. to CDN
-----------
= 1.45 x n # of dollars
(e.g. $18.63 U.S. = 1.45 x 18.63 = $27 CDN.)
