Suggestion: How about putting the link to this thread on the Welcome screen with the other thread links that users see when they first log on?

I second that motion!

Don't forget about Brad! He has already indicated that the pace is about right. I think advertising this thread might overwhelm it. Posters will find it in due time. JMHO

I agree with Zeuspaul in #reply-3369025. It's best not to have the entire membership base stampede through at once : )

A link to this thread shows up before you add your first subjectmark or peoplemark, so new members are directed to this thread already...also, as of yesterday, we're starting to send new members a private "Welcome" message which contains a link to this thread. We'd like once of the functions of this forum to be a place where new people can ask questions (like "How do I start a subject?").

Brad

On a side note, a minor undocumented feature: It's possible to do a quick link to any message on the site by using a # sign followed by reply- and the unique reply number. So above, instead of doing the full

Message 3369025

you can use #reply-3369025

Similarly with charts and subjects....
#chart-amd (AMD chart)
#subject-595 (Iomega Subject)
