McCain was bombing North VN's infrastructure to injure their war making capacity just as we did to Germany and Japan, Just as General Washington bombarded Boston and forced the British to withdraw troops from the city.

McCain's heroism, which Barack Obama lauded, was displayed most prominently when he turned down an opportunity to win early release. He spent years in prison being tortured as a result of that decision.
