Don't put aside abortion. There is nothing to hide from here. The basic argument is whether a fetus has "rights" that should not be violated willy-nilly, not whether it is a woman's "right to choose" for the fetus. That is the issue. One side places those rights in the care of the mother, the other places them in a kind of sacred trust.

I don't know which is correct, but intuitively reducing the number of abortions in the US is a good thing. So, I support that view.

It is coercion and I think it may sometimes be legal but it is almost always wrong. That is, at odds with concepts of freedom.
