"Well, what if he wants to require masks? Or vaccinations? Or businesslike hair styles? Are those not all prerogatives of the business owner? Or are the owners' prerogatives only those that suit you as a customer? Or as a busybody?

Some employers are requiring that all their employees be vaccinated. A couple of airlines are doing that. What about the companies requiring their customers be masked? Or vaccinated? What about an airline requiring its customers to be vaccinated?Since when can employers not set conditions of employment? Whatever happened to "no shirt, no shoes, no service" when it comes to masks or vaccinations? Do you support the prerogatives of businesses like Republicans used to? Or have you suddenly decided that the dreadlocked and shirtless can't be forced upon businesses but the unmasked or unvaccinated can depending upon your approval of their criteria? Airlines have long disallowed passengers on various lists, recently including people who refuse to wear masks or assault cabin crew. Everybody has a right to fly? To employment? Where's the consistency?"

I support the rights of business owners to do pretty much as they wish so long as safety threat is minimized based on the available science.

That means masks are never required unless working around hazardous material which demand the use of certain PPE. There is, and never has been, sufficient evidence surrounding Covid to mandate the wearing of masks. Were I the owner of a retail business I would expect those who wanted to wear masks be allowed to do so, and if the clientele were ignorant such that they believed masks worked, I might have for a short time encouraged workers to wear them.

The better treatment was to minimize contact and encourage hand-washing (which actually DOES do something about the virus and got short shrift during the peak times.)

What I would NEVER DO is make it a government decision. Any competent business person knows that is a recipe for disaster.

Requiring vaccinations of anyone was never okay IMO. Even when Trump delivered them, a personal risk assessment should have been applied and people should have been apprised of the associated risks. For example, that the vaccines were inadequately tested and as such we don't know the efficacy of them. While for old people, who were the ones getting sick, they were appropriate, for a healthy 40 year old they weren't.

In short, the vaccines were abused. People were lied to by the Biden Administration -- Biden, himself in fact -- and now they are trying push this unknown substance on five year old children.

I think if everyone had been required to read and understand how these vaccines were made, the people would have been much clearer about whether they should take them or not. The idea from Biden was "sell" the vaccine to everyone. The proper thing was to make it available, but be honest about the risks.

Biden would have had us vaccinate every soul on the planet with an untestested vaccne -- one about which we know NOTHING beyond two years in terms of the long-term consequences of its use.

When you are cutting and pasting RNA, it is very much like writing computer code. It looks okay, seems to work consistently, but an edge case 10 years down the road may be catastrophic.
