BJFW: I do not think that CYMI should worry too much from competition coming from solid state lasers and non linear optical devices (frequency doubling). The energy densities achievable, by the time you are finished with multiple stage doubling are so low that exposure time will be too large. I think their strength has been in very high "energy density" in each pulse and thus rapid through put through the steppers. Now, if CYMI is buying its UV optics outside, these are certainly an interesting opportunity. I hear that some of the large UV lens used can go for $100,000 bucks, but I am not sure about that, and that price might include additional mark ups through the channels as well.

By the way, what kind of UV ablation are you involved with in the medical field?
