Mike,

To quote Orbit's own web page: "ORBIT/FR develops, markets and supports sophisticated automated microwave test and measurement systems for the wireless communications, satellite, automotive and aerospace/defense industries."

They are not service providers like WCII and TGNT, they are test equipment providers. If anything, the FCC's selling of those frequencies is an indication of the improved growth potential for the test systems it sells. The more competitors, the more test equipment that is needed.

I just don't see the downside here. IFR may pose a minor concern, but I just don't see it as a threat when you look at the markets each company targets. The CEO referring to its tremendous earnings growth, recently said "The record revenue and earnings reflect a strengthening of our leadership position in the market for microwave test and measurement systems. We continue to see exciting growth in our markets, especially in the satellite and wireless communications markets."

Where do IFR and Orbit directly compete?

regards,
Louis
