To all,

TO COMPETE OR NOT TO COMPETE - THAT IS THE QUESTION.

I have been reviewing my approach to this thread and I came to
the realization that I really haven't paid too much
attention one way or the other to what has been posted. A scenario
that is probably true of most of us. When someone posts a buy or
sell, I will generally look the issue over by pulling up some
quick fundamentals on it. If I see something that interests me
I put it on a watch list for a week or two. I did this with TLK
and made some money, I am watching (PKD) as well. However,
I find I haven't paid too much attention to "whose on first."
But, to say I haven't noticed Jodi's astounding performance would
be a lie. I congratulate her performance. It has even made me
check out a couple of her penny picks, as I have done with Jimbo and
others who post. So, each to their own style. I consider myself
just a freeloader taking advantage of Cents' good graces.

During the first week or so, I did feel compelled to sell by the
end of the week to close out the numbers and to make a trade just
for performance sake. That was short lived. This is real money
and my preference is not to make my broker rich from trades. I
do that enough as it is without giving him extra. Now I will
hold until I feel comfortable with the trade regardless of my
"weekly standing"; afterall the object is to make money, not be
number two, three four or five on an S.I. list. That's nice
but not at the expense of the bottom line. So, compete if that's
what trips your trigger, but please don't bicker, accuse or cheat
the stats. It does no one any good. There is no prize at the
end of the year except your own bottom line AND YOUR CONCIENCE.

I know this is pretty long winded, for those who suffered thru it
my apologies.

Anyone out there with some good ideas for the coming week, please
feel free to share.

Kevin
