Mr. Mark they have a problem like that down here too. There are people who live in the valleys and canyons who have the hilltops moving down on them. We've been listening to the police and fire on a scanner, when they get a call from someone wanting help with this problem, they send a unit out to see if a rescue is required, if not they say get the hell out and go to a shelter.

We've had a break in the rain and wind for about three hours and now thunder storms are moving in causing little round white balls of ice to fall out of the sky.

I guess Monday is our next possible minor rain day.

They are evacuating the Carmel Valley River flood plain areas now, the Salinas river is predicted to crest at one foot below flood stage.

People in Big Sur haven't had power for 120 hours and pretty much trapped, other than by copters.

There are people we know over in the Sacramento area who are being told too prepare to leave their house.
