Sonki--I believe my favorite analyst L Painter moved her target to $90 on CPQ, or $45 now.
I think the DEC merger is going to be huge for CPQ. DEC has a great service division and $1.3 billion in cash. The cultures won't mesh overnight obviously, but I'm confident.

Regards,

Scooter

Sonki, and all CPQ and Dell holders. I see you came out of the rain to visit us? CPQ. I am not quite sure if I understood you correctly. Did you say ML moved target to 125 on CPQ or was that just your musings? Yes, ML had CPQ at a target of 100 before the deal with Dec, but then reduced it to 90, also before the split. Yes, CPQ will have their work cut out on that merger but I think CPQ's CEO E. Pfeiffer will handle it, hopefully. In the meantime I will get more CPQ.

If you read this article make sure you also read the other write-ups on that site about CPQ/Dec.

Glad to hear Dell is still going to 125 considering it's already at 190. gg.

How are you and your house holding out in this weather. I see that y'all getting more rain.

Sonny

Sonki, Sonny and other MRK holders on the thread.

More Good news on the MERCK pipeline. It looks like we may get a COX2 class drug in early 99. Seale and MRK appear to be in the lead on this. Very high potential, looking at a 5 Billion+ market in early\mid next decade.
