I thought we did, but googling it I see that a duty of care seems to apply only to people in our charge (children, the elderly), and this article clearly states we don't ...

In Canada, do you have a legal obligation to tend to someone who collapses on the sidewalk as you pass or floats by your door during a flood?
If you have to check out if there are LEGAL obligation to do this, there is something wrong with nation's mentality
