>>>Anyone into Y2K stocks. They are really starting to move the last few weeks? The closer we come to 2000 the more the rates will go up.

Craig I don't follow them but you are the second one I've seen bring it up. Kal who posts here said he was making good money. Just remember what you told us, before. About buying, you should have sold instead. Why don't you go back and find his name and ask him where's he at. 'like is he doubling?'

One thing I might suggest....is simply this.....If you where going to build a house, you would need to get the tools to build it. Right?

Try this if you want to build your portfolio investorinsight.com

I use it to track about 70 stocks in various segments of the Tech Market. I get from it some of the tools I'm building my portfolio with.

Hello To All,

Been lurking on this thread for a few weeks now. Been
very interested in, and, at times, enlightened by the posts. Have
a long position in SEEK. And have, at various times, been frustrated
with their "interesting" PR moves, i.e., bungles, and seeming inability
to keep pace with the pack. But, that said, I like the product (though
not crazy about Olympics piece of the puzzle, either), know for certain
that they offer terrific value to their advertisers (better
engine for targeting, yielding better click-through rates), have researched
some of the technology behind the technology, i.e., Aptex (a division
of HNC Software), and will be meeting with SEEK company representatives
in a couple of weeks... at which time, I'll post anything newsworthy.

I'm not blindly in love with this or any stock. And I am
a little concerned about the short-term (though that's not my play)
what with nothing evident to buoy price. (I don't count the Soros
investment in the SEEK spin-off because that's gonna take a while
to payoff).

Anyway, just wanted to say, "hey". Resume full lurking position,

cm

Craig,
I know what you mean about bad timing.
January '97 I bought NSCP at 47
and rode her all the way down, TWICE, before
selling at the bottom. In order to buy NSCP, I
sold all my AOL at 36; today it is at 110.

I think SEEK is a good three year hold. I have yet
to loose on SEEK (even thought I did buy 25% of my position
at 13 3/4 :( )

Maybe SEEK is not rising because we are both holding!!?? (ha! ha!)

grasshopper

p.s.
What is a year 2000 stock? A company that fixes that problem
all the short sighted idiot programmers of decades past created by
not accounting for the millenium digit flip?
