I believe it is likely vaccination has a significant impact on the intensity of the disease, because that was determined before the Lying Biden Administraion became so compelled to get every vaccinated, which really isn’t any of their business. They were told that they would not get anywhere near Biden's goal. And they shouldn't. Any parent who vaccinated a five year old child probably should have thought twice before becoming a parent. It is their prerogative but it is not a good idea. The lies were to encourage parents to make bad decisions.
