Good, I'm glad you think that. Your thinking is exactly what is necessary to run the stock to 65-70 before traders start to think it's going to 100 again(which it will). Thank you. If it's obvious it's obviously wrong!

Agree with the continued slide and no quick recovery part of what you said, but not about Q's management being so wishful in their thinking as to be mendacious. Tend to think of it more as naievete. Also; they came clean immediately upon seeing the problem from what I can tell. Asnd kept wishfully thinking despite evidence for at least two quarters (after that I stopped paying attention). Did, however, get out of that one with some gain at the first sign of significant trouble. Thank the lord.

Also, Asnd had and has a very concentrated market position in a segment that enjoyed incredible sector growth for a while, but that was destined to come under pressure when inherant limitiations were reached (ISP modem concentrator market; 56k is about the limit that dial up analog modem technology can reach; beyond that one needs a deal with the REBOCs since you gotta have an all digital connect which requires equipment at the first switch upstream from the home or business and probably gotta have a dedicated line.)

(I was however completely blindsided by Efii. That waterfall came like a lightening bolt.)

Doug

I believe QCOM will see an ASND-like long and painful slide. I
think it may see low 30s or even high 20s.

I guess a lot of us have learned by this example!<g> And some of us have profited by this knowledge.
