But according to your friend, node, that is the only time when ivt is useful. Furthermore, here is the major finding of this study (which, BTW, was done on hamsters, not humans) as far as I can see:Ivermectin might then be considered as promising therapeutic agent against COVID-19 with no impact on SARS-CoV-2 replication but alleviating inflammation and ensuing symptoms. IOW, they are saying it works against cytokine storms by reducing inflammation. It has no effect on COVID itself. Furthermore, they actually say it "might then be considered as promising therapeutic agent" [my bolding]. Not the bolded words--MIGHT and PROMISING. Contrary to your implication and node's repeated claims, it doesn't purport to actually prove anything. It is, like the previous studies that I looked at, something that merely points to ways in which it might be further studied. Here is the most relevant brief summary of the study, which perhaps you and node might actually read and understand: This study shows that the modulation of the host's inflammatory response using ivermectin as a repurposed drug, independently of the viral load, strongly diminished the clinical score and severity of the disease (including anosmia) observed in SARS-CoV-2-infected golden hamsters. This study brings the proof-of-concept that a chemical therapy using ivermectin can preserve the clinical condition by modulating the inflammatory response, even without antiviral activity. The clinical presentation is directly linked to inflammation and not necessarily to viral load.embopress.org I don't think you actually read these things that you post, do you? I am not going to read any more of them. It is kind of useless. But by all means, if you or node actually have real studies that make real claims that are not contradicted by real scientists, I am all ears.
