Funny thing about masks. If they actually were good enough to stop viruses ( which other than a full faced fitted respirator they arent) they have very bad health effects on the wearer. Total non starter

I've rarely seen N95's(I use it) and even more rarely see those N95's fitted to a person's face. "Better protection"...which is not clarified.
The fact that many people don't wear proper masks (N95, KN95, etc.), or don't properly wear masks, doesn't change the science regarding mask effectiveness.

All it does is call into question the effectiveness of mask mandates.

It's like not wearing your seatbelt properly, then claiming seat belts don't work.
